Since breathing is the most natural thing we do, learning to breathe again can be challenging but crucial. Having a keen awareness of your breathing is essential. The goal is to develop muscle control over your breathing so that your breath is constant. There is no shortcut to practice, so always begin your singing sessions with some breathing exercises. Say “ah” as if you’re surprised and holding your breath for a moment. When you breathe in, your stomach should feel like it’s expanding so that more air can enter.
